What we do
The Light Horse Scouts is a mounted anti-poaching unit and training company.
We were founded in Australia and operate in South Africa to:
Defend wildlife reserves from illegal poaching.
Establish, train and lead mounted anti-poaching units in South African game reserves.
Our mission is simple:
Protect endangered wildlife, support conservation efforts, and train men to serve with courage, discipline, and skill.
Scouts are trained in horsemanship, fieldcraft, tracking, navigation, and anti-poaching tactics.
We work in partnership with local reserves and communities, aiming to support their ongoing conservation work.
